How to Clean MakeUp Brushes

When was the last time you cleaned your makeup brushes? Or maybe you never cleaned your brushes ever since you bought them?

Unclean makeup brushes are…

• Unhygienic
• Can cause breakouts
• Breeding ground of bacteria
• They smell bad
• They look dirty

Now is the time to save your face. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to clean makeup brushes.

 

MATERIALS NEEDED

• 1 clean cloth or tissue paper
• 1 mug
• 1 cup (transparent)
• A makeup brush cleaner solution

STEP 1

Pour the makeup brush cleaner solution to the cup. Just pour the proper amount of solution you think you need to clean all your brushes. I am using here Mineral Fusion Brush Cleaner.

STEP 2

Dip the tip of your brush to the brush cleaner solution.

STEP 3

Brush it on a clean tissue paper or cloth. You will see the makeup products transfer to the cloth/tissue paper. Brush it repeatedly until you notice your brush becomes clean.

STEP 4

Let your brushes dry overnight with your brushes facing down or lying flat (not like the picture below because the water will loosen up the glue holding the brush bristles). *Special thanks to an Anonymous commentator*  =)

You can use them the next morning. But before you apply any product on your brush, wipe it for the last time on a clean cloth or a tissue paper to ensure the brush cleaner solution will not get on to your face.
